Tuesday saw Qioptiq stage a wonderful reception at SS Great Britain to mark the signing of a Gold Team Army sponsorship deal.

In the shadow of the magnificent industrial achievement of Brunel and his ground-breaking engineering excellence in the 19th Century,it was fitting that Qioptiq displayed its equally cutting-edge optronics to the assembled gathering. This company, based in St Asaph, Wales, specialises in delivering the optronic wizardry found in all sorts of air, land and space platforms and weapon systems. Qioptiq has steadily risen from Bronze to now Gold level sponsor in Team Army and was one of the first companies to sign up. Qioptiq has seen the value of the relationship with Team Army and the part it plays in supporting our troops through sport as well as its strategy to engage with end-user and industry alike. Many individual weapon sights are the hallmark of Qioptiq as well as its proven track record of delivering invaluable capability to our soldiers on the front line; a development programme only enhanced by the opportunities of end-user engagement through the Team Army scheme.

“The response can often be candid but sponsoring sport has provided the opportunity to aid product evaluation through direct end-user engagement”
