Qioptiq and the Royal British Legion along with Team Army have been proud to associate themselves with this Divisional competition.

With the morning’s downpours finally clearing away, the 29th May provided the perfect setting, on a somewhat wet rifle range, to present various cheques to the winners of this year’s 3rd (UK) Division’s Challenge Cup. Now in its fourth year, the competition sets out to challenge units to excel in sport, adventurous training and other physical fitness pursuits. The Household Cavalry Regiment took top honours as the Major Unit

Maj Gen Patrick Sanders, the new GOC and also President of  the Army Rifle Association, was very much in evidence as the event was combined with the closing day of the Divisional Skill At Arms meeting on Bulford ranges. Craig Taylor of Qioptiq and long term supporter of the Infantry and the Challenge Cup together with Paul Osborne and Jim France from the Royal British legion took centre stage in handing out cheques that will go towards supporting future sporting endeavours at the grassroots level for the winning major and minor units.

A BIG thank you to Qioptiq and the Royal British legion for all their support.
